The granting of temporary protection to Ukrainians fleeing Russia’s war of aggression continues. On 30 July 2026, the EU countries decided to extend temporary protection by one year. Temporary protection for Ukrainians fleeing the war will be valid until 4 March 2028.

The President of the Republic has approved the amendments to the Act on the Promotion of Immigrant Integration and related acts. The amendments will enter into force on 1 January 2027. They are part of the integration services reform which will affect the services provided in the early stages of integration and the organisation of these services.

The 2027 integration services reform led by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment is progressing from preparation towards implementation. The KEHA Centre supports the nationwide preparation and implementation of the reform by bringing the operators involved in immigrant integration together at joint events, trainings and webinars dealing with matters such as the amendments in the Act on the Promotion of Immigrant Integration, the organisation of services, funding and the responsibilities of the operators.
