The integration database is an open statistics database based on register that provides comprehensive information on the immigrant population in Finland. Statistics Finland is responsible for maintaining the database.

The Integration Indicators database is an open statistics database based on register and survey data. It is used to monitor the state and development of integration in Finland. The indicators are divided into five themes: employment, education, wellbeing, participation and two-way integration.

3.3.2026 | The number of foreign unemployed jobseekers decreased for the first time since 2022. According to the Employment Bulletin based on the data from January, 14.3% of all unemployed jobseekers were foreign unemployed jobseekers.

10.6.2026 | As basic information under the Act on the Promotion of Immigrant Integration, the KEHA Centre has published the InfoFinland app, which provides information on rights and obligations in Finnish society and working life. Everyone moving to Finland will receive information about the app and how to download it in the early stages of immigration.

22.4.2026 | In March, the number of foreign unemployed job seekers increased by 1.7% from the previous year. The economic downturn explains the increase in the number of unemployed people in the short term (2023–2025). In the long term, the growth is explained by the growth in the foreign workforce in Finland. 

24.3.2026 | The number of men among the foreign unemployed decreased by 1.9% compared to the previous year. On the other hand, the share of women increased by 3.0%. The number of unemployed jobseekers increased in February 2026 compared to the previous year. The increase was significantly more moderate among foreign unemployed jobseekers (0.5%) than among Finnish unemployed jobseekers (7.7%).

20.8.2024 | There were 49,543 unemployed foreign jobseekers in Finland at the end of July. This is the highest number of unemployed foreign jobseekers ever recorded. In addition to the lacklustre economy, the increase in foreign labour explains this growth.

15.8.2024 | In June, there were 46,709 unemployed foreign jobseekers, which accounts for 16 per cent of all unemployed jobseekers. The number of first integration plans fell from the first quarter of 2024. This drop may be due to seasonal variation as, of all quarters, the least number of first integration plans are usually drawn up in the second quarter of the year.

The Centre of Expertise in Immigrant Integration publishes a comprehensive review of integration as part of the integration monitoring system for each government term, that is every four years.
