Koulutusportti guides immigrants into education.

Koulutusportti is an information system where immigrants registered as job seekers in the employment area are directed to services that promote integration, such as language and professional skills assessment or integration-promoting training/multilingual social orientation. Koulutusportti allows for quick and secure communication of information between the employment authority and an educational institution or other service provider.

Koulutusportti allows you to reserve a place for training, testing/assessment or orientation, or to forward an invitation to assessment and training. In addition, the system can provide information about independent study opportunities in 16 different languages ​​in addition to Finnish and Swedish, and inform about student selections, study progress, discontinuation of studies and results. The system supports the planning of education, as the system creates queues of those in need of training and statistics on language proficiency test results.

Koulutusportti is used nationwide in almost all employment areas and in a total of approximately 200 education and service provider organizations. The user rights for those working in employment authorities are applied for by the employee's superior together with the user rights for other customer information systems. The educational institution/service provider obtains user rights by entering into an agreement for the use of the system with the KEHA Centre (agreement forms are available from [email protected]).

Koulutusportti system was first developed as an ESF project, after which work has continued at the Uusimaa ELY Centre with funding from the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment. The KEHA Centre has been responsible for maintaining and developing the system since 2016.
