The purpose of the nationwide modelling of early-stage integration services is to provide a tool for experts responsible for integration services. Such matters as multilingual advice and guidance, cooperation with employers and orientation during the early stages of immigrant integration are discussed in the modelling.
The modelling of early-stage integration services is based on the results of the At Home in Finland pilot projects. A total of eight projects were provided with funding in the first At Home in Finland pilot project application round. The aim of the projects was to promote the start of the integration process, access to basic information on Finnish society, identification of individual service needs and to facilitate transition to education, training, working life and further services.
