Indicators used in integration monitoring system

The Centre of Expertise in Immigrant Integration maintains a national monitoring system for integration. The monitoring system consists of indicators for different phenomena, which are based on data from registers and surveys. The indicators are updated and reports on them are produced regularly. Most register-based indicators are updated annually and survey-based indicators are updated every four years. You can view the indicators at Integration Indicators database.

The elements of the monitoring system are as follows, using the EU and OECD frameworks:

  • employment
  • education and skills;
  • health and wellbeing
  • housing
  • participation and
  • two-way integration

The monitoring system for integration produces an annual report and a comprehensive review of the entire government term. The previous comprehensive review was published in 2020 and the next one will be completed in 2024.
