Guidelines on the representation of unaccompanied children in Finland

The guideline contains basic information on the duties of a representative of an unaccompanied child in Finland during the reception and integration phases.

The guideline is primarily intended for representatives of unaccompanied children in Finland, to support them in carrying out their duties. In addition, the guideline can be utilized in official work.

The guideline has been prepared in cooperation between the Finnish Immigration Service, the KEHA Centre, and the Vitality Centres of Uusimaa, Northern Finland, and Inland Finland. The latest update was made in June 2026. The guideline has been updated in accordance with the amendments to the Integration Act and the Reception Act that entered into force on 12 June 2026.
