Foreign employees are entitled to the same terms of employment as Finnish employees. A foreign employee means an employee who is not a Finnish citizen.
Among other things, employers are required to ensure that foreign employees have the right to work in Finland and to store information about the foreign employee and their right to work at the workplace.
Employers must also provide information to the Finnish Immigration Service. This includes, among other things, information about the recruitment of an employee who is not an EU or EEA citizen, the duration of the employment relationship, the salary and the applicable collective agreement.
