The reform of the Act on the Promotion of Integration The current Integration Act has been amended (comprehensive reform of Integration Act, KOTO24). The new Integration Act (681/2023) will enter into force on 1 January 2025 at the same time as the TE services reform.
Information on integration customer data system The Koto-digi project of the KEHA Centre develops national information system services for integration, which can be introduced in municipalities in the early 2025.
Information on the situation of those fleeing from Ukraine Centre of Expertise in Immigrant Integration compiles information on the situation of those fleeing from Ukraine and produces current information (FAQ) on residence, temporary protection, work and services for people arriving in Finland from Ukraine.

Planning of Integration 2026 event is progressing well

The Integration 2026 event will be held in Vantaa this autumn, and its programme planning group has been working hard throughout the spring. The event’s programme planning is based on a previous open call for programme ideas and on the programme planning workshop held in December. The Integration 2026 event organisation would like to thank all who have already participated in the programme planning process. 
The reference architecture for promoting integration has been updated

The KEHA Centre has published an updated version of the reference architecture for promoting integration at the municipal level. The update was necessary as the operating environment of integration has changed significantly due to the entry into force of the new Integration Act on 1 January 2025, the establishment of the employment areas and wellbeing services counties, and the related legislative amendments.
The share of women among the foreign unemployed is rising slightly

The number of men among the foreign unemployed decreased by 1.9% compared to the previous year. On the other hand, the share of women increased by 3.0%. The number of unemployed jobseekers increased in February 2026 compared to the previous year. The increase was significantly more moderate among foreign unemployed jobseekers (0.5%) than among Finnish unemployed jobseekers (7.7%).

The Kotoutuminen.fi blog offers perspectives on integration

The Centre of Expertise in Immigrant Integration publishes blog posts by various people involved in integration at kotoutuminen.fi. Because of limited resources, the blog is only published in Finnish.

Events and training

The Centre of Expertise in Immigrant Integration organises training, seminars, webinars and other events and participates in different kinds of training and other events. The event calendar will only be published on the Finnish-language website. English-language events are included in English in the calendar.
