The Nordic Council of Ministers is looking for experts with migrant background to participate in a forum focusing on integration. The aim of the programme is to exchange experiences and expert information and to promote dialogue in society.

The new Nordic cooperation forum is part of the Nordic cooperation programme for integration of refugees and immigrants. The forum invites experts with migrant background to participate with a view to obtaining a wide range of opinions on the steps for successful integration and to strengthening the knowledge base on integration.

The expert group will contribute to establishing a comprehensive perspective on integration in the Nordic region and to involving the target group in ways to promote integration. The forum will support cooperation in integration issues in the Nordic region and the vision of Nordic cooperation. Annually, the expert group will participate in two remote meetings and other discussion events.

Persons representing organisations dealing with integration issues and individual experts in relevant areas may apply for membership in the group. Members of the expert group are expected to be familiar with issues relating to the labour market, education, health and social services, equality, democracy, citizenship or discrimination. The forum is looking for people born outside the Nordic region and who have come to the Nordic countries as migrants.

To apply for membership, you must fill in an application form. Applications will be accepted from 1 July to 31 August 2021. The members shall be selected by an expert panel, which will seek to ensure the maximum possible diversity in areas of expertise, age, country of origin/new home country and gender.
