Updated guideline for representatives published in Finnish
The guideline on the representation of unaccompanied children in Finland has been updated and published on kotoutuminen.fi. The update applies to the Finnish version of the publication. The Swedish version will be published later after the translation is completed.
The guideline contains basic information on the duties of a representative of an unaccompanied child in Finland during the reception and integration phases. The guideline is primarily intended for representatives of unaccompanied children in Finland to support them in their duties. The guideline can also be utilised in official work and in the tasks of a temporary representative.
The guideline has been prepared in cooperation between the Finnish Immigration Service, the KEHA Centre and the Economic Development Centres of Uusimaa, Northern Finland and Inland Finland. The latest update was made in June 2026. The guideline has been updated in accordance with the amendments to the Integration Act and the Reception Act that entered into force on 12 June 2026.
