The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment is responsible for the preparation of matters concerning the promotion of immigrant integration in Finland. Within the ministry, promoting integration is the responsibility of the Minister of Employment.

The Development and Administrative Centre for the ELY Centres and TE Offices (KEHA Centre) organises and provides joint development and administrative services in cooperation with agencies, ministries and other parties in accordance with mutually agreed strategies and under the guidance of the ministries, in particular the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment.

2.3.2022 | The Ministry of the Interior has appointed a cross-sectoral group to coordinate migration to Finland following Russia’s attack on Ukraine. The group includes representatives from several ministries, the Finnish Immigration Service, the Association of Finnish Local and Regional Authorities and the Finnish Red Cross. Any developments concerning migration are closely monitored.

17.9.2021 | All ministries will take the ‘@gov.fi’ suffix into use in the course of 2021. The email addresses of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment have changed to the format [email protected] on in September. The change also applies to the email addresses of the Centre of Expertise in Immigrant Integration and the Integration partnership program.

8.6.2021 | The website maintained by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment’s Centre of Expertise in Immigrant Integration has undergone a redesign. At the same time, the Finnish name of the website has changed to kotoutuminen.fi. In connection with the redesign, the visual image of the centre of expertise was also revised. Kotoutuminen.fi is to be published as a beta version.
