The integration database
The integration database is an open statistics database based on register that provides comprehensive information on the immigrant population in Finland.

The Integration Indicators database is an open statistics database based on register and survey data. It is used to monitor the state and development of integration in Finland.
Publications
The Centre of Expertise in Immigrant Integration orders and implements reports and studies on immigration, integration and reception of refugees.
Priority areas in the promotion of integration
Programmes promoting integration, multi-sectoral cooperation and partnerships of different operators relate to the legislation that guides the promotion of integration.

The number of foreign unemployed jobseekers decreased for the first time since 2022. According to the Employment Bulletin based on the data from January, 14.3% of all unemployed jobseekers were foreign unemployed jobseekers.
Closer link between employers and employment services speeds up the employment of immigrants

An experiment based on a new type of agreement model had a positive long-term impact on the employment, confirmed income and the amount of taxes paid by immigrants participating in the experiment. According to the interviews conducted in connection with a recent evaluation, the close contacts between employers and employment-promoting services were particularly useful.
Action Plan to Help People Who Have Fled Ukraine is now published also in English

The Government’s action plan published in June includes 30 actions that support the employment of Ukrainians. Communication in Ukrainians’ native language is increased and their transition to municipalities is supported. The action plan is now also available in English for example EU-level comparison and other research.

Organising multilingual civic orientation cost-effectively requires cooperation between municipalities as well as cross-regional and national coordination. Orientation organised remotely or as hybrid events could help immigrants living in sparsely populated areas to participate in the instruction. A report commissioned by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment in May 2023 includes recommendations on how to implement the orientation in a high-quality and uniform manner across Finland.
