The Centre of Expertise in Immigrant Integration has compiled information on the situation in Ukraine and those fleeing from Ukraine on this website. The materials have been produced by the Government and other authorities, and in part by municipalities and organisations.

Key concepts related to integration, the Integration Act and the reception of refugees are collected on this page. The concepts are partly based on the Integration Glossary published in 2021.

Organisations play an important role in the promotion of immigrant integration, from tasks related to early-stage housing arrangements to language clubs and various leisure activities. The activities are partially on a voluntary basis, but many organisations also employ experienced professionals.

22.10.2025 | The KEHA Centre is developing its national online services aimed at both integration professionals and immigrants. The goal is to improve the quality and user-friendliness of the integration-related content under KEHA’s responsibility, while also making more efficient use of resources allocated to content maintenance.

4.8.2021 | The Centre of Expertise in Immigrant Integration has commissioned a study on municipalities’ integration programmes. The aim is to provide an overall picture of the content, drafting processes and the importance of the programmes at local and regional levels in the work promoting integration. The study will be carried out by the consulting and research company Innolink together with the Migration Institute.
