Somatic and creative approach to resilience & mental well-being in refugee work

The training is a part of the Clarity, Creativity, Action International Academy - Embodying the Practice -programme. The weekend focuses on the experiential side of the CCA method, embodying the practice and inspiring international exchange.

Time: 8.-10.11.2024 
Place: Hotel Nuuksio, Espoo

The training intensive presents the CCA methodology with emphasis on the practical workshops, which will increase your understanding of the mechanics and impacts of trauma, offer techniques for stress management and strengthen your coping skills and well-being strategies and heighten your capacity for culturally sensitive care-giving. 

The training will focus on the experience of the hands-on practices of the method, balanced with the theory behind trauma-informed approach, embodiment, art and drama therapy. Emphasis is given for trauma informed facilitation, self-care and regulation skills crucial for both the well-being of professionals & refugees, and the sustainability of refugee support services. There will also be reflections with visiting guest experts from France, Italy and Jordan. 

The training is intended for professionals and activists working with refugees. The training program is free of charge, but food and accommodation is not included.
